How can one measure the impact one person has on a community. Our Dad had a huge impact on the lives of many people in Central NY. From his 30 year career as owner of Drumlins pharmacy to his dedication to Temple Adath, and his commitment to making Central New York the hub of nutritional information, our Dad had an impact!
Our father's goal was to help those eager to learn about natural health and supplementation. His massive knowledge and zest for learning was a true gift to Central New York. Of the vast articles written about him in the Syracuse newspapers, there is one headline that spoke volumes- "20 years Ahead of My Time- The world is catching up to Stan Meyerson And Holistic Health". People have referred to our father as a pioneer and a visionary. He did not see that in himself, but he had a unique gift of seeing the whole picture, whether it was healing the mind, body or spirit. He became a voice for a group of people who had none- a champion for those with environmental illness and chemical sensitivities. He brought a national awareness to a growing epidemic with education and information.
He was a true Renaissance man. His passion for music, arts, and sports was undeniable. How many kids can say their father took them to see Ella Fitzgerald, Tiny Tim, Neil Diamond and Elvis Presley. He taught my sister and I the art of honest, loyal and dedicated customer service which in today's modern world is rare to find.
Among his numerous achievements, his true legacy is his countless selfless, unacknowledged & unrecognized acts of kindness to strangers, those in need and loved ones. Stan the Man was always there for those who needed a helping hand.
His memory is truly a blessing to his family and those that loved him.
